First-Year Scholars Visit to Toronto
Hosted by Lakeshore University
A funded week on campus for final-year school students considering undergraduate study in Canada: lectures, labs, admissions workshops and residence life.
First-Year Scholars Visit to Toronto brings a small group of students to Toronto for an intensive, carefully supervised programme. Days combine structured teaching with time to explore the city, and every participant is paired with a local mentor for the duration of the stay.
The grant removes the cost barrier entirely for selected students: travel, accommodation and programme fees are paid directly by the host, so nobody needs to advance money or wait for reimbursement.
Selection is based on the written statement and on what the student plans to do with the experience afterwards. Prior travel or language study is not required. Students from schools that rarely send anyone abroad are especially encouraged to apply.
