Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship 2027

Hosted by University of Toronto

TorontoCAN

Four years of tuition, books, fees and residence at the University of Toronto for about 37 international school leavers each year.

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is the University of Toronto's most prestigious award for international undergraduates. It covers the full cost of a first degree for four years, and about 37 students are named Pearson Scholars each year.

The scholarship looks for students with exceptional academic achievement and creativity who are also recognised as leaders in their school, and for the impact they have had on their community.

The route in starts with your school: each school may nominate one student. The 2027 nomination window closed on 9 October 2026, and nominated students had to apply to U of T by 16 October. Nominated students complete the scholarship application and send their documents by 6 November 2026. If your school took part, check with your guidance counsellor that your nomination went through.

U of T says it does not work with agents or third parties for this award, and that using generative AI to write application content leads to disqualification.
